Colorblocking

It isn't a surprise to me if you've heard of Color Blocking.
Because it's HOT!
I'm very fond of this colorful, playful, funny and bright trend.
It's so amazing because, it makes you stand out.
You look even more special then you already are.

For the people that live in the past (that's OK :p)
I'll explain what Color Blocking exactly is.
Color Blocking is mixing colors that originally don't fit together.
The colors usually are opposite.
For example: pink and green, blue and orange, purple and yellow etc.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
You could also mix a light blue with a darker blue in the same dress.
Or a beige and black.
The point is that two or more colors,
that are different,
are mixed in the same outfit or the same piece of clothing.

Here are some examples of Color Blocking.

and a shimmering, purple dress.
Naomi Watts wears a sparkling, Stella McCartney dress.
Nicole Richie is wearing a yellow oaker dress,
paired with Neil Lane bangles.
Emma Watson in a fifties vibe, with plaid
dress and a bomber, leather jacket.

The Little Black Dress: Sophisticated and Multifunctional

The Little Black Dress aka. L.B.D
This peace of clothing is an absolute must have in you closet.
If you going to work, or an a date, the L.B.D is your rescue.
There isn't a wrong or right way to wear this elegant dress.

It's suited for all sizes and shapes.
If you're curvy you should wear a scoop neck or a V-neck.
It will accentuate you curves in a nice way and give you length.

Now a bit of history...
In 1926 Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel saved the women
by freeing them with there painful corsets.
She invented the Little Black Dress.
It was just a simple little thing back then.
The L.B.D gets it's beauty in its straight lines and the mysterious black color.
It was first shown in the American Vogue.
Vogue called it: 'Chanel's Ford'.
Another master of the L.B.D was Audrey Hepburn.
She wore the Little Black Dress in her hit movie:
Breakfast at Tiffany's
(A movie which you should have all seen by now!)

Here are some tips so you'll look even better:
1. Invest in a well made L.B.D, you'll wear it forever!
2. Keep your L.B.D simple, and don't over accessorize it!
3. If you pear shaped
(meaning that you have a bigger lower body then a upper body)
you should wear a L.B.D that flairs out at the bottom.
4. When in doubt, the L.B.D is your go to!
5. Have fun!
